Bridging Gaps, Expanding Outreach Report
On January 25, 2008, the Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) Advocacy Working Group comprised of 16 patient advocates from seven countries, convened at a Pfizer-sponsored meeting, held in New York City, to share insights on the current obstacles and discuss potential solutions for better addressing unmet needs of women with MBC. They identified three key areas for improvement:
-
Improve access to tailored information, resources and support for women with MBC.
-
Heighten attention to the MBC community – create a unified voice and platform that speaks to their unique needs.
-
Increase understanding of and access to clinical trials.
